Berbuat baik adalah perbuatan mulia, wujudnya boleh bermacam-macam.
Dari yang sederhana seperti memperlakukan orang dengan baik, menasihati dalam kebaikan, berbagi ilmu sampai pada memberi bantuan harta kekayaan dalam jumlah besar.
Lingkungannya pun dapat dipilih, lingkungan kecil yang hanya terbatas pada orang-orang terdekat, anak, suami, isteri, saudara, orang tua atau pada lingkungan yang lebih luas, tetangga, teman kantor, semua teman interaksi bahkan komunitas-komunitas dalam negara atau antar-negara.
Perintah berbuat baik jelas keutamaannya, sekalipun demikian banyak yang tidak peduli untuk melakukannya, atau melakukan separuh hati atau dengan mengharap ada balas budi setelahnya atau menunggu menjadi kaya baru mau melakukan.
Padahal berbuat baik sudah jelas imbalannya; memperoleh kecintaan sang maha kuasa (QS al-Baqarah [2]: 195), memperpendek jarak denganNYa (QS al-A’raf [7]: 56). Bahkan akan berlimpah berkah dan ditambahkan kebaikannya.” (QS asy-Syura [42]: 23).
Jangan menunggu kaya untuk berbuat baik. Lihatlah bagaimana orang berlomba membuat kebaikan dengan kondisi keterbatasan yang dimiliki.
Seorang sopir pete-pete (mikrolet) setiap hari melakukan kebajikan dengan memberi tumpangan gratis kepada anak-anak miskin yang berangkat ke sekolah karena ketiadaan biaya transport.
Penjual bakso memberi makan gratis kuli bangunan semangkuk jika mampu menjual bakso 10 mangkuk.
Anak remaja yang hanya punya kemampuan membaca, mengumpul anak pemulung untuk sekedar menghiburnya dengan mendengar bacaan dongengnya.
Seorang guru besar menyediakan garasinya untuk tempat mahasiswa miskin membaca semua koleksi buku yang dia miliki.
Tukang sapu jalan yang setiap pagi memberi senyum dan sapaan doa Assalamu alaikum.
Sederhana, langkah kecil namun dilakukan dengan dedikasi tinggi semata-mata karena kecintaannya pada sang Maha Kuasa
Mereka yakin bahwa sang Maha kuasa mengetahui hal itu dan tercatat dibuku langit sekalipun hal kecil dan hanya sekedar berbagi.
Tak ada kekuatan bumi yang mampu menghalangi mereka membangun keyakinan bahwa mereka akan berkumpul dengan kecintaannya kelak di Syorga.
Harapan kenikmatan bertemu sang Maha Pencipta membuat mereka qonaah melakukannya.
Mari bergerak berbuat baik, berbuat baik tidak harus menunggu jadi kaya.
