Kami menarik tubuh itu perlahan dari endapan lumpur yang mengeras. Napasnya tipis, nyaris tak terdengar, tapi masih ada. Tanganku gemetar saat membersihkan wajahnya dengan air keruh yang tersisa di botol. Lumpur luruh sedikit demi sedikit, memperlihatkan garis rahang, dahi, dan mata yang terpejam. Di tengah riuh aba-aba tim SAR, aku hanya fokus pada satu hal: memastikan ia tetap hidup.
Kami membawanya ke tenda medis. Bajunya diganti, lukanya dibersihkan. Saat lampu senter menyapu wajahnya lebih terang, ingatanku terbuka seperti pintu yang dipaksa. Aku mengenali bekas luka kecil di alis kirinya. Dulu, aku yang mengantarnya ke klinik setelah berkelahi, malam ketika ia mengaku mencintai perempuan yang sama denganku.
Ia membuka mata sebentar. Pandangannya kosong, lalu berhenti tepat di wajahku. Tidak ada rasa terima kasih, hanya keterkejutan yang cepat disembunyikan. Aku mundur selangkah, menyerahkan selang oksigen pada petugas lain. Di pengungsian, kami diajarkan menyelamatkan siapa pun tanpa bertanya. Tapi di bawah lumpur itu, aku belajar: bencana bisa mencuci wajah seseorang, tanpa pernah membersihkan apa yang pernah ia rampas.
